What:
Transformative Programming Works (TPW) is proud to host our 2024 Statewide Convening for in-prison program providers. This year we're headed to the State Capitol, Sacramento!
Our goal:
To build off the tremendous momentum that our coalition generated this last year, celebrate our advocacy victories, and plan the remainder of 2024 and beyond. Specifically, we will use our time together to develop an organizing and advocacy strategy to advance the 1% Campaign and our shared mission of ensuring that folks living in California prisons have access to healing and transformative programs. We'll continue another current focus to increase accountability for CRMs and foster allies within CDCR's leadership. We'll be hosting capacity building, training, and networking opportunities amongst members. We'll celebrate some of our wins together. Lastly, we’ll head to the State Capitol to meet with legislative leaders on our platform.
As we know from our years of work together, we’re stronger and smarter together. Our previous wins and current goals were all born from the needs and voices of our members. We are committed to fighting for what you need, which means we need your participation. Let’s put our heads and our hearts together to plan for precise, collective impact this year, and have some fun while we’re at it!
