Day 1 - January 28

Program Delivery During COVID-19: Accessibility, Correspondence & Trauma-Informed Curriculums

Join organizations from across CA to discuss various approaches to program access, correspondence logistics, and trauma-informed curriculums during COVID-19. This session will use accessibility as an overarching theme and explore how the creation of virtual and correspondence content/curriculum may impact our programs going forward.

Organizational Sustainability: How to Retain Staffing & Funding

Jeff Schaffer from JMC Philanthropic Advisors will be joined by Amanda Berger - Insight Garden Program, Ayla Benjamin - Boundless Freedom Project, and Kenneth Hartman - TPW for a session focused on program sustainability. We will discuss current philanthropy trends, best practices for fundraising, and hear how organizations have reallocated staff resources to sustain programming in the midst of COVID19 lockdowns.

TPW Statewide Advocacy for In-Prison Programs

Learn about current TPW advocacy initiatives, the upcoming 1% Campaign and opportunities to get involved with our legislative work. Together we will do a visioning exercise to begin exploring what greater fund capacity would mean for in-prison program providers in California.

Carrying Out the Vision

Looking ahead together we want to hear from TPW members about the most pressing issues program providers are facing right now. We will strategize on how TPW can uplift or alleviate program challenges and needs. We will share opportunities for involvement with TPW committees, upcoming events, and what to expect from the TPW in the coming months.
